Congratulations to Comrade Norm Marion (right), who was presented the Branch Legionnaire of the Year award by Branch President Wayne Tutt. Over the past three years Comrade Norm has selflessly offered his time, knowledge and experience for the betterment of the Branch, its members and the Coldwater community. Although the Legionnaire of the Year Award is an annual honour, in this particular case we wish to recognize the multi-year efforts Norm has put in as Branch President to guide and to keep the branch alive and well through the troublesome period of the pandemic. Throughout the period, Norm also continued to accomplish the tasks of Public Relations Officer, Branch Historian, Chair of the Honours & Awards Committee, Editor of The Maple Leaf newsletter, and administrator of the Branch Website and Facebook pages. For those reasons, we are pleased to award Norm Marion the 2021 Legionnaire of the Year Award.
During the ceremony Norm was also presented the Honours & Awards Bar to the Branch Past Office Medal, and the Bar to the Past President Medal.
