FESTIVE MEAL GIFT CARDS FOR LOCAL VETERANS

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 270 Coldwater wishes to thank Mr. Mike Ferris, owner of the Midland Canadian Tire, and Mr. Ken King, owner of the Midland Swiss Chalet/Harvey's, for their very generous donation of $20 dinner gift cards to each Veteran member of our branch. This joint Christmas gesture is meant as a COVID-19 pandemic alternative to their more traditional offer of free, in-person, festive meal for local Veterans.

A total of 300 gift cards - a value of $6,000 - were donated to be distributed among local Veterans within Royal Canadian Legion Zone E-4, which includes branches from Coldwater to Elmvale, Penetanguishene and Midland.

Gift cards were handed to Zone E-4 Commander Paul Howe, during a special presentation at the Midland Canadian Tire on December 9.
