COLDWATER VETERANS APPRECIATION LUNCH 2023

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 270 Coldwater held its annual Veterans Appreciation Lunch on Saturday November 4. The event was well attended by Legion members, supporters, dignitaries, and of course Veterans. We would like to thank all who attended and all who contributed in so many ways to make the event the success that it was. A special thank-you goes to the members of Branch 270 Ladies' Auxiliary who, once again, put together a wonderful meal and took care of so many details in the setting up. Thank you all!

In attendance were Sergeant (Ret'd) Jesse Reed and Corporal (Ret'd) Bill Coleshaw, who served together in the 1st Battalion, Royal Canadian Regiment, in the 1950s. In 2020 Jesse moved to Coldwater to learn he was within meters of Bill's house. Since then, they have been spending time catching up and reminiscing about their common past.
