COLDWATER BRANCH HOSTS DISTRICT 'E' PUBLIC SPEAKING COMPETITION

What a delightful event to host at our branch.  For all who missed the opportunity, dozens of people enjoyed the thoughtful speeches of 13 young students who came to our Coldwater Branch on March 23 to take part in the District level Public Speaking Competition.  These 13 young people bravely stepped up on the stage and gave their very best.  Congratulations to them all, and particularly to Carolyn Yungblut who achieved the highest score among participants in all four categories.

Thank you to our branch Youth Education Chair, Cheryll Barr, who coordinated the event at our branch. Thank you to branch members Al Myre, Norm Marion, and Jewels Hardman, as well as guests Mitch Ayotte and Larry Morley, for taking on the role of judges; to members Paula Brown and Margaret Anne Murray for acting as timekeepers; and to members Shari Ireland and Grace Mahoney for acting as scrutineers.  Many thanks also to our Ladies' Auxiliary ladies who once again put on a very appetizing lunch for all the attendees.
