DECORATION DAY 2019
The Decoration Day Service for the Coldwater Cemetery was held on Sunday, June 23, 2019. Under a warm, shining sun, dozens of people showed-up to take part in the outdoor service, decorate graves, and pay respect to their deceased loved ones. Members of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 270 Coldwater provided a Colour Party for the event, while bugler Paul Bolyea and the Huronia Harmonizers offered musical support. This year we had the pleasure of having two members of 724 "Midland Lions" Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron, Warrant Officer 2nd Class Michael Bennett, as piper, and Flight Sergeant Holden Cunningham on drums. The Service was officiated by Reverend Captain Ron McLean. Tea was provided at the Legion by the Coldwater branch's Ladies Auxiliary following the ceremony. Thank you to all who participated and contributed in any way.
