CANADA DAY CELEBRATIONS
Happy Birthday Canada! On Sunday July 1st, the village of Coldwater closed its main street to traffic for the afternoon to yield space for bouncing castles, watermelon eating (and seed spitting) contest, and best of all, our Legion operated dunk tank! Although attendance was lower due to the scorching heat wave, everyone who participated had a wonderful time. This was a lot of fun, and hundreds of dollars were raised for our branch's special Armistice 100 Remembrance project, a bronze plaque featuring the names of Coldwater's 23 soldiers who were killed in action during the First World War. THANK YOU ALL WHO VOLUNTEERED AND HELPED IN ANY WAY!
