COLDWATER STEAMPUNK FESTIVAL
From August 10 to 12, 2017, thousands of people landed in the village of Coldwater to take part in the 7th annual Coldwater Steampunk Festival. Steampunk enthusiasts walked the streets dressed for the occasion in Victorian era costumes, often adorned with strange contraptions worthy of the era's "cabinets of curiosity". Taking place over the three day period were a classic car show, artisan demonstrations in iron forging, spinning, leather working, painting, glass blowing, 3-D printing, paper & metal stamping, steam power engines, and even teapot racing. This year's main event day contests included Arts & Crafts competitions, a live Costume Contest, Scavenger Hunt and a Photography Contest. In addition to hosting dozens of thirsty and hungry visitors who came through the Legion during the event, some of our members took part as street vendors, dressed-up participants, and even in a local boutique fashion show.
